The bold explorers of the 18th and 19th centuries relied on compasses and precise watches for orientation. They carried robust pocket watches with guilloché cases that were easy to hold and had protective covers with visible time display. Our DC6 collection is inspired by these watches, also called half-hunter, with its domes and guilloché finishing on the top of the case.

The DC6 collection feature the innovations introduced with the DC1, including the all-titanium movement, the patented Magic Crown winding system, and the 30-degree inclined tourbillon that further enhances chronometric precision.

Structure

New visual impulses

The first visual highlight is the decoration on the front of the case. Known as the Pointe du Risoux, the hand-engraved guilloché on the bezel recalls the view from the sky of the treetops forming the Risoux forest, on the edge of which the brand’s workshop is located. Created as a contemporary approach to the traditional antique guilloché, this motif was not only imagined for its aesthetic appeal, it was also deliberately designed to provide the wearer with an additional sensory experience through touch.

Asymmetrical display

Protected by two small spherical crystals in specially machined sapphire, the time indications and the bird’s-eye view of the Tourbillon are integrated into the bezel. Similarly, the power reserve, located at the very top of the front of the watch, is protected by an arched sapphire crystal.

The hours and minutes, visible under the sapphire dome on the right, can be read on a micro dial, also spherical, and thanks to two curved oranges steel hands that follow its convex shape. The 30-degree Tourbillon is fully visible under the left-hand dome, its blued index indicating the seconds marked on the circumference of the Tourbillon cage.

The balance of the domes thus directly evokes the half hunter watches and other marine compasses of past centuries. The positioning of the dial, raised at 12 o’clock and lowered at 6 o’clock as in the DC1 collection, has the privilege of improving the comfort of reading the time by optimizing the wearer’s field of vision.
